Dr. Eng. Iuliana NICHERSU is Ph.D in Spatial Planning (Urban and Regional Development) and Hydraulics. She graduated Faculty of Civil Engineering, specialization Urban Engineering and Regional Development at University of Civil Engineering Bucharest in 2009. At Danube Delta National Institute, is working at Technological Development and Spatial Planning Department and has been involved in several national and international projects, such as: Developing a high-resolution digital map support needed to implement plans, strategies and management schemes in the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve (Operational Programme for Environment), Beneficiaries and flood risk assessment in the Danube floodplain (INTERREG Programme) and People for Ecosystem based Governance in Assessing Sustainable development of Ocean and coast (FP7). The field of activity is: Regional and Urban Development and Spatial Planning Studies, hydraulic modeling, flood risk management, proposals for projects on European Founds Programs, implementation of European Founds Projects.
